Join us on the 1st Wednesday of every month, 5-6 PM (EST) from Your OWn computer or smart device!

Cincinnati ECHO Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) teleconferences are free, interactive, webinar-based mentoring sessions to help you with the many critical aspects of accessing and providing MAT for your patients. The current climate of opioid misuse in the U.S. touches lives in every corner of the country. It is more urgent than ever before to be prepared to provide care. Our consultants are experts from behavioral health, pharmacy, and primary care including a physician who established and directs MAT services in a community health center. They offer their advice and encourage discussion on all your questions and concerns.

Each monthly session will begin with a consultant presenting a pearl; an evidence-based clinical practice in caring for patients with substance use disorder with MAT. Topics may include initiating MAT into practice, urine drug screen interpretations, non-pharmacologic treatments, screening, brief intervention, and referral to treatment (SBIRT) techniques, regional laws and policies regarding naloxone, completing and maintaining controlled substance agreements and using prescription monitoring programs such as the Ohio Automated Rx Reporting System (OARRS).

All health care professionals including physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, medical assistants, social workers, community health workers, and other office staff can participate live from any internet device from any location. All participants are encouraged to ask questions and offer their own suggestions during each session.
